Chessarti1On Saturday 27 June 2015, the Jacob G Zuma Foundation will be hosting its very first annual schools chess tournament referred above as the ‘JACOB G ZUMA FOUNDATION - CHESS IN SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP 2015’ The tournament takes place at Umhlali Preparatory School in the area of KwaDukuza (Stanger) from 09h00-16h30 



 This year’s Jacob G Zuma Foundation Youth Day Event, was held on Saturday 20 June at the ICC Durban, and celebrated the achievements of hundreds of beneficiaries of the Foundation’s scholarship programme, as they enjoyed an opportunity to meet His Excellency the President as well as some of our country’s greatest leaders.

The Annual JGZF Soccer Tournament held on 21st December 2014 was a success. The introduction and the involvement of 11 districts proved to be a success. Each year this tournament gets bigger and better.


Hydroponic GardensA pilot project has been established, where tunnels are used to plough vegetables. This is a technology called hydroponics, currently operating in two Provinces, one in KZN and in Gauteng area. The 3 tunnels were established in Nkandla, KwaNxamalala and the second one in Benoni area. Both these areas have harvested twice already.


graduation 2014A prestigious function for the 218 JGZF 2013/2014 graduated students was held at Durban ICC on 04 October 2014.
About 207 graduates, who were beneficiaries of the JGZF scholarships, which enabled them to pursue studies at various tertiary institutions had the opportunity to meet and give their appreciation to the Patron, HE, the President of RSA , Mr. JG Zuma.
